Welcome fellow Avigens,

I want to communicate with all of you today about VRC and the Avigen. As you may have heard, VRChat released an update implementing Easy Anti Cheat (refereed here as EAC) into the game, completely blocking the use of any modded client. This has generated what people would call a "dumpster fire" in the community, with thousands upon thousands switching to other platforms, such as ChilloutVR and Neos VR. The main reason behind this whole outrage is the fact that most mods were for quality of life features and adding very important accessibility features for some. This effectively split the VRC community in half, one not minding the update, the other completely boycotting the game.

What will happen with the Avigen VRC package?

The Avigen will keep receiving updates for VRChat. This is your avatar, you should be free to use it in any platform you want (not revolving around Blockchain of course)

I will be adding any new features to this avatar for VRC as originally announced. Depending on how the situation evolves, there might be something that changes for any future avatars I make (the Avigen's updates will not be affected.)

Any plans to diversify the Avigen to new platforms?

With this whole VRC thing going on and me exploring way more ChilloutVR in the past few days and the coming weeks, I will be releasing an Avigen ChilloutVR Unity Package at one point, hopefully soon, trying to feature match as much as I can what is on the VRChat version!

Having tested their CCK (Content Creation Kit), ChilloutVR is kind of a mix between a VRC SDK 2.0 and 3.0, which makes feature matching easier. I will be experimenting more with their features soon and release a CVR package! This might not be done by the next update, but it is coming!

There is also the Neos VR package that was announced in the past, but that one will take quite a bit more time as the platform is quite a bit more complicated to grasp than VRC or CVR (even for my Unity game dev nerdy skills, I still need to get the hang of Logix.)

Where's the next update and what will it include?

I also have some news regarding the next update and what it will include. Some of these features are already implemented and are just awaiting release:

• NEW - Wings Position Adjustment: Adjust the position of your wings along your forearm. Especially useful when folding them in the tucked position to avoid your wrist clipping into the disk above it when you bend it back.
• NEW - Invincible Visor: Tired of getting blue screened by being punched in the face all the time? Use that toggle to avoid this exact flaw in the AvigenOS's code!
• NEW - AvigenOS BSOD on demand!: Do you want to break yourself? Trigger a blue screen by the simple press of a button!
• FIX - The happy expression on the Rainbows recolor had some frames that were corrupted, which has been fixed for the next update.
• FIX - A small blue pixel on the logo on the boot screen was somehow missed by my falcon eyes, which has been fixed for the next update.

This update should be released soon, I just have some more tweaks to do before being able to let it loose in the wild!
