PATCH 1.0.3 | EZRecolor fixes, AQUA prefab and Friday MEETUP!
Welcome fellow Avigens!
A new patch just came out with some more fixes! If you are using EZRecolor, you will definitely want to download this package! It includes a fix for blurry screens when seen from far away. This issue did not appear with the regular recolors, but a setting inside the EZRecolor textures variants has not been set correctly, leading to blurriness when looked at the screens from far away.
Also.....
Yes, you heard it correctly: For all Avigen owners, I am including in this update, as a separate download, a Cyber Blue prefab with Aqua shaders and Aqua fins, all ready with Luma Glow for Furality Aqua! I cooked a quick setup with some basic fins placement, but feel free to edit the prefab to make it your own! This separate download is available right now, which will import the Avigen prefab, materials and textures for an Aqua Avigen! (badges not included). It does not have a sample scene, but you can drop the included prefab in any scene you like. You will however need to import the Aqua shaders and Aqua fins assets yourself from the official Furality download as this package does not include them. You can find them here! This package will be available until the end of the convention and will be made unavailable for download afterwards.
Finally, remember that there will be an Avigen Release Party meetup at 7PM EST this Friday, live on my Twitch channel! Be sure to join the Discord community to get the VRC invite link to join the fun! You'll also be able to ask questions about the Avigen if you need more info on it.
And now, for some regularly scheduled updates:
- (Unity) Added a second FBX (MDB_Avigen_LightUVsOnly.fbx) which contains the same Avigen model, but with only a single UV set, mapping the LightUVs onto the main UVMap. This removes the ability to add a detail texture onto lights, claws and feathers for this specific version of the mesh (only the gradient is possible), but adds the ability to do the scrolling gradients on shaders that don't make use of multiple UV Sets. The original mesh is untouched and this addition does not modify any of the existing prefabs.
- (VRC) Added a prefab set up for Furality Aqua with Luma Glow and fins! This will be in its own separate download for a limited time. You will need to have the Aqua shader and Fins assets imported before importing this package. This package will be unavailable once Furality Aqua ends.
- (Unity) Fixed the blurry screens when far away on the EZRecolor template by turning off mipmaps on its textures (which is what is across all other recolors' screens).
This update applies to the Base Unity Package. To install this update in your project, import the Base Unity Package inside your project. The VRC and Beat Saber Unity Packages are unaffected and do not require to be reimported.
To install the Aqua Prefab, import the Aqua shaders and the Aqua fins downloaded from the Furality official website first, then import the separate Avigen Aqua Unity package.
